I am Ron from Steytlerville, South Africa. The little town of Steytlerville is located in the Eastern Cape Region and is part of the Karoo, a semi-desert area, good for sheep farming and wildlife reserves. The Kudu, a species of antelope, is also found in the area and are capable of leaping over fences at a great height. Local residents drive very cautiously on the road – especially at dusk or just before sunrise, to avoid hitting one of these animals as it could result in serious injury or even death to both the Kudu and/or people.

Sorry Matthew I just can’t put my finger on what bothers me about the poem. However, I would like to reblog your post “Satan can quote the Bible” on my other blog site YAHWEH-NISSI if that is ok with you.

Matthew, I take it that’s a no to my request for reblogging an article from your site.

Though it seems trivial, one of our authors is a park ranger at a zoo and LOVES Kudu haha – so few people know about them, which seems disappointing!

One of the local residents in Steytlerville from time to time takes in an animal that has been injured in some way for caring. He and his wife then take care of the animal and nurse it until it is ready to be returned into the wild. This of course is not for the faint hearted and he recounted the other day that a Kudu had kicked him under the chin and also head butted him, He said it felt like his nose was broken. The couple have also raised a bat eared fox and when visiting the other day the fox yelped at almost like a dig giving greeting. 🙂

Oh, yes of course. We have been chatting previously and had no idea he was sick until that post. Our family prays every nite at dinner, so he is on our list for tonight.
